The title of my album originated with a wooden sign I saw nailed to a tree in a neighborhood near Duvall, WA. The sloppily painted sign simply said, "CRY IF YOU NEED TO" in big block letters. When I saw it, I immediately started crying. While I, of course, hope none of these bumper stickers cause any traffic accidents, I do hope that they can serve as clear yet gentle reminders that sometimes we just need a little nudge of permission to feel our feelings.
